PULMONARY MEDICINE

We focus on the diagnosis and treatment of the following pulmonary diseases and conditions: ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome), asbestosis, asthma, bronchitis, chronic cough, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), disability evaluation, emphysema, hemoptysis, lung cancer, pleural effusion, sarcoidosis, solitary pulmonary nodule, inhalation lung injuries, tuberculosis, pulmonary hypertension, shortness of breath, pleurisy, pneumonia (typical and atypical), abnormal chest xrays, injuries to the chest and a host of other breathing problems and disorders that affect the lives of countless people each and every day.

Remember, your nose is used to breathe, it is the passage to the lung, we care for some sinus problems.

DIAGNOSTIC STUDIES

Our physicians offer the following diagnostics: oxygen evaluation at night, blood gas analysis, bronchial provocation for asthma, bronchoscopy w/ biopsy and brachytherapy, PPD/skin test for TB, closed pleural biopsy, open pleural biopsy, PFT’s (Pulmonary Function Test), Polysomnogram/Sleep Study, MSLT/ Multiple Sleep Latency Test, Cardiopulmonary Stress Test, and Thorocentsis, just to name a few.

CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE

Serious health problems require serious care. Critical Care Medicine in the management of patients in the intensive care unit/Coronary Care Unit/Trauma Care. Managing patients on ventilators, right heart cath/swan-ganz cath, chest tubes, lung resection, and after open heart surgery care.

SLEEP DISORDER CENTER

Our staff and medical director, M. P. Rampertaap, MD, FACP, are experienced in evaluating and treating sleep disorders.

In order to diagnose your sleep disorder, patients usually spend the night in the sleep lab, where licensed, experienced technicians monitor and record brain waves, muscle activity, respiration and heart rhythms while the patient sleeps.

Payment for medical services is due at the time services are rendered.

For your convenience we accept Visa, Mastercard, most insurances and Medicare and Medicaid. We are providers for many PPO’s and HMO’s. Please check with our staff for a complete listing. All insurance claims are filed eletronically if insurance company accepts such. Your paper work is done!

We must have a valid referral from your primary physician, if required by your plan.
